Where does the Booster Club get its money?

The Otter Lake Booster Club, Inc. receives funding from:

  • Annual charcoal chicken dinners held on the third Sunday of July at the Otter Lake County Park on the north end of the lake.
  • Fishing contests, jointly sponsored by the Stanley Sportsman’s Club and the Booster Club.
  • Contributions from area Sportsman’s and Rod and Gun Clubs.
  • Donations which are fully tax deductible by individuals.
  • Membership fees, which are currently $10.00 per family.
  • Endowment Funds.

An area family is establishing an endowment fund with the Booster Club as one of the two beneficiaries.  The fund is being established to commemorate their father and his love of the lake.  He had many hours of enjoyment fishing on Otter Lake after his retirement, and this special fund recognizes the Booster Club for its dedication to maintaining and improving Otter Lake.  It is hoped that others might find this an attractive form of remembrance for loved ones who enjoyed Otter Lake.

The cost of electricity to power the aerators has risen substantially the last few years, and it is increasingly difficult for the Booster Club to fulfill its commitment to pay the bill.  To maintain and continually improve Otter Lake, to the benefit of all users of this valuable resource, your contributions and donations would be very helpful.  Contributions and donations may be made payable to Otter Lake Booster Club, Inc. and sent to:

Otter Lake Booster Club Inc.

A receipt which will satisfy tax deductibility requirements for the IRS will be sent to you.
